Al-Mn alloy is the most widely used rust-proof aluminum. The plasticity is good when hardened by semi-cold work, low plasticity when hardened by cold work. Good corrosion resistance, good weldability, poor cutting performance, can be polished. The Mn content of 5182 aluminum is low, and the strength of the finished product is low, which is beneficial to the material forming. 5083 aluminum has high Mn content, the main purpose is to improve the strength, welding, and corrosion resistance. The strength of 5083 aluminum alloy is at least 30Mpa higher than that of 5182 alloy. Therefore, 5182 aluminum alloy is an industry-recognized material for cold deformation.
The 2 series, 6 series and 7 series can not be regarded as large deformation materials, so 5182 is the best.
