5086 h116 aluminum plate is typical 5 series alloy with high strength. For its high strength, is due to strain hardening or cold working of H116 temper. Meanwhile, the H116 tempered 5086 aluminum has obtained excellent resistance to peeling corrosion. And its mechanical properties vary significantly with hardening. In practice, 5086 h116 aluminum plate also shows better workability, formability, weldability,etc. So It’s widely applied for weld construction, tank truck, auto parts, tread plate, especially for marine application.

Cold Working
5086 h116 aluminum plate is belongs non-heat treated alloy. For Its strength and mechanical properties, are improved by cold working. And Al 5086 h116 can readily cold worked by conventional methods.
Corrosion Resistance
H116 tempered 5086 aluminum sheet is typical marine grade aluminum alloy. This is due to its excellent resistance to erosion in extremely humid environments, such as sea water and the atmosphere, etc.

Welding
Weldability of 5086 h116 aluminum plate is very good by conventional means. It’s easily welded and does have good strength.
Other Features
Soft texture, the density of 5086 aluminum material is only 2.66g/cm3. But 5086 aluminum plates have even higher strength than 5052 or 5083 alloy.
