Introduction to 1050 aluminum plate:

1050 aluminum plate belongs to a series of pure aluminum plate series, and the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the 1060 series are close to each other. Nowadays, the application is basically replaced by 1060 aluminum plate.
The last two digits of the 1050 series are 50. According to the international brand nomenclature, the aluminum content must reach 99.5% to be qualified. China’s aluminum alloy technical standards (GB/T3880-2006) also clearly stipulates that 1050 aluminum content reaches 99.5%. Because it does not contain other technical elements, the production process is relatively simple and the price is relatively cheap. It is the most commonly used series in the conventional industry.

Industrial pure aluminum has the characteristics of high plasticity, corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, but the strength is low, it is not strengthened by heat treatment, the machinability is not good, and contact welding and gas welding are acceptable.

Characteristics of 1050 aluminum:

1050 aluminum has the general characteristics of aluminum, low density, good electrical and thermal conductivity, good corrosion resistance, good plastic processing performance, can be processed into plates, strips, foils and extruded products, etc., can be gas welded, argon arc welded, point weld.
1050 aluminum can not be heat-treated and can be strengthened by cold deformation. The only heat treatment is annealing. The recrystallization starting temperature is related to the impurity content and deformation degree, generally around 200 °C. The annealed sheet has σb = 80 to 100 MPa, σ 0.2 = 30 to 50 MPa, ζ = 35% to 40%, and HB = 25 to 30. After 60% to 80% cold deformation, although the chaos can be increased to 150 ~ 180MPa, but the devaluation has dropped to 1% ~ 1.5%. Increasing the iron and silicon impurity content can increase the strength but reduce the plasticity, electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance.

Use of 1050 aluminum:

Often used in daily necessities, lighting equipment, reflectors, decorations, chemical industry containers, heat sinks, signs, electronics, lamps, nameplates, electrical appliances, stampings and other products. In some cases where high corrosion resistance and formability are required, but the strength is not high, chemical equipment is a typical use.
