On June 20th, Yirui New Materials’ 720,000-ton aluminum-based new material intelligent manufacturing project reached a major construction milestone with the successful high-precision hoisting and precise positioning of the project’s core equipment—the roughing mill stand. This successful hoisting signifies a crucial advancement in the installation of the project’s core main equipment, officially ushering in a new phase of intensive equipment installation for the entire project.

As a core load-bearing component of the hot rolling production line, the roughing mill stand bears the heavy responsibility of supporting the load throughout the entire aluminum rolling process. It directly determines the rolling precision, operational stability, and finished product quality of high-end aluminum plates and strips, and is one of the most demanding and challenging installation processes in the entire production line. Throughout the hoisting operation, strict control of the construction process and calibration of installation parameters were maintained. Overcoming difficulties such as the challenges of aligning heavy equipment and extremely tight installation tolerances, the stand was successfully hoisted and precisely positioned in one go, laying a solid hardware foundation for subsequent assembly of mill components, full-line commissioning, and trial production.
The newly constructed 1+4 hot rolling production line is a core benchmark equipment for Yirui New Materials to implement industrial transformation and upgrading, and promote the high-end development of production processes, intelligent manufacturing, and green production throughout the entire process. Upon full completion and operation, the project will significantly expand the company’s high-precision, wide-width, high-end aluminum sheet and strip production capacity, further addressing the shortage of high-end aluminum product capacity and optimizing the product matrix structure.
